Finland-China Trade Association was founded in 1985 with a purpose to collect and supply information about the Chinese market, trade and economic cooperation, in addition to laws and regulations. The Association is also a contact forum for companies and individuals dealing with Finnish-Chinese trade and economic cooperation.

Interest in the Chinese market has grown strongly, thanks to the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and China's entry into the WTO. Today Finland-China Trade Association has more than one hundred members.

Finland-China Trade Association organizes luncheon meetings and seminars a few times annually, thus providing an excellent channel for getting new contacts and sharing experiences. Companies starting their activities in the Chinese market or ones planning to enter it benefit greatly from these contacts, as personal relationships and networks (guanxi) are vital in dealing with the Chinese. Membership fees in 2010: company members 170,- and individual members 25,-.

Finland-China Trade Association has an official partner in China, China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and close contacts with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China and their Commercial Section in Helsinki.

The secretarial and administrative function of the Association is taken care of by WTC Helsinki. For more information on Finland-China Trade Association, please contact Ms Sirpa Rissa-Anttilainen, tel. +358 9 6969 2020 or sirpa.rissa-anttilainen(at)wtc.fi
